Pintlore Terms of Use
Effective date: September 22, 2026
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By creating an account or using Pintlore, you agree to these Terms. You must be of legal drinking age in your country (21+ in the United States) to use Pintlore. If you don't meet this requirement, don't use the app.
2. Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know at support@pintlore.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. The Shared Catalog and Your Content
Pintlore's beer catalog is built collaboratively — when you add or edit a beer entry (name, brewery, style, ABV, hops, photo), it becomes part of a shared catalog visible to and editable by other signed-in users. By submitting anything to the catalog, you grant Pintlore and its users a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content within the app, and you confirm you have the right to share it (e.g., you took the photo, or it's a product photo you're allowed to use). Your private diary entries (ratings, notes, dates) stay yours and are never shown to other users.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Don't use Pintlore to:
- Upload content that's illegal, infringing, abusive, or misleading.
- Submit deliberately false or vandalized catalog entries.
- Encourage excessive, dangerous, or underage drinking.
- Attempt to access another user's account or private data.
5. Reporting Content
If you see a catalog entry or photo that shouldn't be there, email support@pintlore.com with details and we'll review it.
6. Responsible Drinking
Pintlore is a personal diary and discovery tool. It does not sell, deliver, or encourage the purchase of alcohol, and nothing in the app should be read as promoting excessive consumption. Please drink responsibly.
7. Third-Party Data
Some beer information comes from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) and Creative Commons (CC BY-SA) for content. Product names, brand names, and label imagery may be trademarks of their respective owners; Pintlore uses them only for identification purposes.
8. Disclaimers
Pintlore is provided "as is." Catalog information is user-submitted and may be inaccurate — we don't guarantee the accuracy of beer names, ABV, styles, or any other catalog data. Pintlore isn't liable for decisions made based on app content, including anything related to alcohol content or consumption.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Pintlore and its developer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using Pintlore and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how).
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
